Tasting Notes:

Aroma - Hazelnut, figs, dates, oloroso, candied almonds, clove, molasses.
Palate - bonfire heat, cinder toffee, black treacle, clove, cinnamon, bark.

Our Fireside Chapter Edition is a single cask release of which there are only 261 bottles available.  

There are two options for this product -

A single bottle in a branded box which is £95

or

A large presentation box the same as the First Release Whisky which has the bottle of Fireside Chapter whisky, 2 x Glencairn glasses and has been signed for all 3 distillers which is £135 (a real collectors piece).

The concept behind the Fireside Chapter Release is that it will be an annual offering.  Over the next 5 years we will release one every Autumn to create The Whittaker's Fireside Chapter Collection.

Conclusion - Full bodied, powerful and full of the flavours of autumn and winter. The sweet elements balanced by salinity and notes of cedar and burning embers. Not peaty but still with a gentle charred feel undoubtably an expression of the cask. The most crowd-pleasing release yet but also full of intrigue for a more seasoned whisky enthusiast. No confection, just natural, “pastry chef” precision. Joyful, complete and tasting beyond its years with a texture akin to a more mature bottling.
